What sort of style do you have?
For Newborns:
Bright + airy, while keeping the focus on your sweet baby. Their tiny features change so quickly and you will want to remember every detail so my goal is to capture that for you. I focus on capturing the natural beauty of each baby I photograph.
For Kids/Families:
Fun, unique, and vibrant. I know how important it is to capture the REAL moments in your child’s life. I want your children to be themselves. There will be moments of silliness, shyness, calmness, and chaos. This is life…. and that is what I want to capture. I know amongst everything, there will be sweet tender moments that I find that remind us all that our children are gifts. It is ALL of these memories that you will cherish.
What does my session fee include?
The session fee accounts for time and talent during the session, post production editing, and your private online gallery. This gallery is available for a 24 hour period and will showcase the best edited images from the session. Your images, either digital or printed, are not included in this fee. You can choose to purchase items a la carte or select one of the collections available.
How far in advance should we book our session?
I ask that sessions be booked no later than two weeks prior to the date you wish to book. For newborn sessions, the sooner the better while you are still pregnant — see further down.
Where should our session take place?
That depends on the type of session. All newborn sessions take place in studio only, as do baby membership sessions. For older kids or family sessions we will pick a location that suits your family best! We can meet at an outdoor location (a park or beach) or stay in the comfort of your home, I come to you! If you have a creative location in mind just ask, I’m always open to something new.
What should we wear?
Simple clothing and neutral tones work best. I recommend that you stay away from big logos and decals that may be distracting later in your photos. For a family session, you do not need to have everything matching – I suggest coordinating and I am happy to help you through the process. You will receive a clothing guide once you have reserved your session.
What sort of lighting do you use?
I photograph with natural light for in-home and outdoor sessions and continuous natural-looking like in studio.
When will I get to see the photos from the session?
Within 21 days of the session I will email you to let you know your images are ready and provide a link to your gallery.
Do you photograph weddings?
I am currently not offering wedding photography services as my focus is newborn and family photography
How do I schedule my newborn photo session when I don’t know when baby will be born?
Just tell me your estimated due date and then I’ll block off some time around that. When your baby finally does make their entrance, contact me as soon as you can and we will set a specific date from there. The most important thing, however, is to book your session as soon as you can while you’re pregnant.
